Epilogue

My UED102, Study Skills experience has been a great one so far. Although it was hard at first but I really really enjoyed it. From all the assignments to the blogposts and the lectures, there were very interesting. I’ve got to meet new people and made friends with some of them. Not forgetting the lecturers, they did a great job in teaching the topics assigned to them. Some even gave advices on how to survive university life and some even talked about their life achievements and what they did in order to achieve their goal. What I enjoyed the most was taking pictures of the components that must be included in the blogpost. These are the pictures: Besides the e-portfolio, I also enjoyed doing the video assignment. My teammates and I bonded quickly and the video assignment completed right before the due date. We even uploaded the video on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=881_bI0crAE&t=75s Our first meeting vs our last class meeting O

UED102, 7th Class, Part 3: Library and Campus Resources

Image
LAST CLASS! I couldn't be more happier to know that interim break is coming and we have 5 weeks to be spent with friends and family at home. But knowing that I won't be seeing my classmates and learning in the same class anymore makes me sad. The worst thing is not having the opportunity to learn about the correct way to study or even taking lessons out of the lecturer's past stories. I'm not sure which one saddens me more.                      But, BACK TO THE BUSINESS. Our last class for Study Skills was all about Library and Campus Resources. Basically, everything about our library and the resources around us. Being a UiTM student benefits me in many ways. Some of it will be discussed more in this post.                      First of all, we were being introduced to the librarians and the staffs at the library. Oh before that, did I mention about our lecturer of the day? Well, she is not really a lecturer as she is a librarian but she is giving lecture for that

UED102, 6th Class, Part 7: Academic Integrity and Performance

Image
My 6th class of Study Skills UED 102. It’s the second last class for the third last week of interim. I don’t even know what to expect for this class but I really hope that I did well on my video. My team and I have been working really hard of it and we are proud of the final result. We really hope that Miss Syuhada would like it too.                      For this class, we learned about Academic Integrity and Performance. Sounds heavy but I find it really interesting and informative. Under this topic, we will learn about plagiarism and also the way to calculate our CGPA and GPA. How cool is that?                      What is plagiarism? Based on Mr Google, plagiarism is an act or instance of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without the authorization and the representation of that author's work as one's own, as by not crediting the original author. In another word, this may be a crime, an academic crime.

UED102, 5th Class, Part 5: Memory, Learning and Improving Concentration

Image
Hi guysssss! How's everything? Thank you so much for being loyal to this website 😂 So, it was my fifth class for Study Skills. As soon as Miss Shamsinar entered the class, the class went silent as per usual. Without further ado, here’s the fifth class for UED 102, entitled Memory, Learning and Improving Concentration.                      According to Miss Shamsinar, this subject is all about study strategies that we may or may not have practise it in the past. Either you are doing good or not in your study, there are a few ways to improve our memory when we have learn something. It is known as The Pyramid of Learning.           In the picture above, there are two methods of learning which are passive and participatory. Under these two methods are some ways that we usually use when we are studying. But little did we know that by using participatory method, we are learning more than the passive method? I surely learnt something new where it is imp

UED102, 4th Class, Part 2: Goal Setting

Image
*scream* FOURTH CLASS! It’s the fourth class of Study Skills, UED102. Three weeks down and three classes to go. But first, let’s talk about the fourth class, shall we?           As soon as our lecturer entered the class, the class went quiet. She didn’t look really intimidating or fierce, neither do strict. However, when she started talking, she reminded me of someone I know. But I couldn’t remember of anyone. 🤔           Madam Amira, our lecturer of the day didn’t start the class by talking about the topic. She started with talking about her life experience and some tips were given to us since we are now a college student. Halfway through the lecture, I thought that she kind of look like Siti Nordiana 😂. Her act, her voice and her little figure really reminded me of that famous singer.           Enough with the babbling, she started the class by introducing the topic for this class. The topic was Goal Setting and she said that this was a short topic yet a very importa

UED102, 3rd Class, Part 6: Taking Lecture Notes

Image
Its finally Wednesday again! Third class for Study Skills. Entering the class, I was exhilarated to know and learn new things today. The lecturer has not entered the class yet but the class is full with students. The moment when Madam Normala entered the classroom, we went quite. Judging by her look, we thought that she was a strict and fierce one. Or maybe I was the only one who thought of that 🙊           Madam Normala started the class with an introduction of her topic. She’s teaching about how to take lecture notes and the effective note taking system. The overview of the topic will be: Why take lecture note How to take lecture notes? What to include in notes?           She also shared a quote that I found interesting as it speaks the truth.           We did our first activity; score your point and in which category you belong to? The activity determined if we are doing great in our style of study and writing notes or we need so
